DADA Lesson 1

I sat at my desk waiting for students to come in.

"I'll tell you what we're going to do while we're waiting for our last students.
In DADA you'll mainly learn dueling spells, our first one is Flipendo, it knocks opponents backwards, just say Flipendo!" I said

"Flipendo," I said, "uhh... it didn't work..."

"Do it on these spiders," I said.

I walked in and sat down.
I sat down next to Elwyse.

I walked in, my legs shaking. I had been planning on sitting next to Elwyse, but since Lisa was next to her, I sat in the back of the classroom by myself. I managed to somehow trip three times on my way to the back. Smooth, Devin, smooth. I thought to myself.

I looked back at Dev and winked at her. I nudged Lis with my shoulder and jerked my head towards the back of the room at Devin. "Devin and that Gryffindor boy," I said.

"Flippendo!"I say and my spider does a back-flip.
"Flippendo!"I say about three times before it works.

"Flippendo!" I point my wand at a spider and it starts doing the can-can. I laugh.

"Flippendo," I said again, more confidently. The spider did a back flip. I punched my fist in the air.

"Flippendo" i said and had to try a couple times before it worked
"Flippendo" I said and i had it down

"Flipendo," I shouted, it took a while but I got it.

"Flipendo," I shouted, the spider did a backflip.
